Hotel Drover

This past Thursday I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Drover in Ft. Worth, Texas. I was there for work for just one night but I was thoroughly impressed! I have had the pleasure of staying at some of the best hotels in the world, and Hotel Drover was ON POINT! The hotel is located at the stockyards in Ft. Worth and the branding is amazing. As a branding nerd, I absolutely geek out on things like this. This Hotel is what EVERY business should strive for, complete branding from the first touch point to the last. I would love to meet with team that made all of this happen!

From the initial approach to the hotel, right in the middle of the famous stockyards, to check out, everything about Hotel Drover was amazing. It started with the valet (very professional) to entering the hotel and heading to the front desk, everything screams Ft. Worth. The hotel lobby is adorned with rich leather couches, animal hides, tapestry pillows, deep tones, Texas Long horns, and dark hardwoods. The lobby columns are covered in leather and the small library tucked away in the near side corner just invites you to sit down and stay a spell and enjoy your drink from thier famous bar! As you head down the hall to the elevators you are welcomed by a 6 foot neon cowboy. As the doors open from the elevator you head down the hall with branded carpets and small alcoves for each set of rooms, each with their own leather and metal door numbers on the fabric walls. They thought of everything. Every touch point. It looked nice, smelled incredible, it was quiet and everything spoke to my senses, I immediately felt at home and at ease.

Upon entering my room I was just as impressed! The bathroom was spacious with a separate toilet room and a HUGE shower. The bathroom had a counter full of local amenities and a sign describing Hotel Drover’s ongoing efforts to support small business. As a small business owner myself, this went a long way with me! The small business they were supporting was called Los Pablanos, I adored all the products and I have continued to use them to this day. As I continued on past a large armoire on my right (more on that in a bit), I walked into a spacious room with a leather and wood king sized bed (which was super comfortable!), a large dresser, a leather topped desk, a large leather sitting chair and my favorite, black out curtains! Beyond those curtains was a direct view into the actual stockyard.

On the desk was a Marshall Bluetooth speaker and water. I mean what more could a girl ask for! The dresser contained a tray with all kinds of local treats and mini bar. While I did not partake (I rarely do at hotels) I did enjoy perusing all the local options and honestly stopped on the way home to grab some of the On The Rocks margarita they had! The large armoire was a coffee bar! It contained a Nespresso coffee maker, several different pods of coffee, branded mugs and more water! I love a hotel that keeps you hydrated! The other side of the armoire consisted of a leather bench complete with a Hotel Drover branded boot heal to help you remove your boots!

The hotel itself had a “vibe” everything was 100% Texas. They have a great hotel bar, a restaurant, and outdoor bar, courtyards galore with so many alcoves to hide away for a quick private drink, large tables to share with a group of friends, with water features to calm your nerves. If you are ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop in, even if just to have a quick drink. If you are looking for a place to stay I would absolutely recommend Hotel Drover!
