Travel Bug

Travel bug

I guess you could say I got my love of travel from my parents. They have traveled as long as I can remember and long before it was “cool”. They have been to almost all 7 continents (the last one of those coming up this Feb). I remember as a child the stories I was told about their adventures. I would hang on every word, devour the photos and this was back when they took them with a camera and had the film  developed and then put into an album!  They traveled to Europe long before the internet, Siri and google maps!  Now, I find travel can be easy, if you allow it to be… I travel for fun, for work and with my husband for his work. I travel alone, with my family, with my mom. I don’t care as long as I am traveling! As long as I can remember we have always traveled. It comes as second nature to me. If I am sitting still too long I am itching to go somewhere! I can remember my mom teaching aerobics on cruise ships 40 years ago. We have come home from trips and had airlines gone bankrupt while we were gone, missed flights, and more…of course I have my nightmare stories but I am going to keep this blog light and fun. I’ll share some of the “I made a mistake” moments but this isn’t a place for complaining!

I have traveled to 33 states and 15 countries.  I can’t wait to expand my list as the years go on!  We are new empty nesters and are planning on spending the upcoming years traveling as much as our schedules will allow.  Can’t wait to bring you along with us!
